Zack Henderson (Greendale HS, 2014) recently marked the fourth commitment in Wisconsin’s 2014 class with his verbal commitment to Missouri. Henderson is the second SEC commit in Wisconsin along with No. 2 overall ranked prospect Jeren Kendall (Holmen, 2014) who committed to Vanderbilt last fall.Zack Henderson

Henderson has been turning heads all summer, and not just with his strong arm on the mound but with the juice in his bat. Henderson plays for Greendale HS which plays summer high school baseball in Wisconsin and the 6-foot-3, 210-pound two way player put up strong numbers all season, hitting .528 on the year with 37 RBI and 5 homeruns in 53 at bats. We’ve seen Henderson show off impressive bat speed and power this summer, posting 93 mph exit velocity from the tee back in March.

Along with his uncanny power at the plate Henderson also brings a strong arm to the mound, we’ve seen him at 88 mph last spring with reports of him being up to 92 mph on occasion this summer. His secondary pitches still might be a little raw but there is no doubt that his arm strength will play at the next level.

Henderson’s unique tool set will give him a chance for success on both sides of the baseball at the college level and is something he is looking forward to having the opportunity to do so.
