Elite Prospect Showcase Preview: RHP/OF Brady Devereux

The 2014 Elite Prospect Showcase is set for this Saturday (November 1) and many of the top prospects in the Class of 2016, 2017 & 2018 as well as a few talented unsigned seniors are prepared to showcase their stuff. Last year's inaugural event was highly successful with 20 players going on to make college commitments to date. Among those in attendance last year, 2016 OF J.J. Bleday (Titusville) was one of the standouts. The two-way prospect went on to make a commitment to Vanderbilt shortly after the completion of the event and was named this fall to the final USA Baseball 59 man roster for the 2015 18-and-under National Team Trials.

Devereux has yet to play a game as a high school player, but the 6-foot-1, 170-pound two-way prospect is already on a number of college programs radars. The projectable righty sits in the low-80s from an over-the-top arm slot but projects for significant velocity bumps in the coming years. Devereux is one of six talented Class of 2018 prospects on the roster this Saturday, all of which could make a name for themselves.
