Lock Haven University first year head coach Jim Chester announced recently the signing of three players to National Letters of Intent during the early signing period. Chester takes over the Lock Haven program following a 13-28 campaign in 2014, including a 5-23 mark in PSAC action. The former head coach at Penn State Greater Allegheny brings with him a .644 winning percentage over the past eight years.

2015 Early Commits

OF Connor Perry (Norwin HS)

Chester: Connor has a tremendous amount of upside and will be be a key component to the future of our program. He has plus-power from the left side and athleticism that allows him to play all three spots in the outfield.

C/OF Mike Fuhrmeister (Spring-Ford HS, PA)

Chester: Mike comes from top-notch and well-run high school, and summer programs. He is very versatile and has the ability to play multiple positions. His baseball knowledge combined with his speed will allow us to use him in many different capacities.

RHP/OF Joe Zufall (Bethel Park HS, PA)

Chester: Joe is going to make an impact as a two-way player in our program. His best baseball is ahead of him and we are very excited it will be in a Lock Haven uniform. Playing in one of the top summer and high school programs in Pittsburgh, he will be ready to immediately complete in the PSAC.
