Most Viewed Player Profiles of 2014: No. 3 Trey Dawson

By Greg Williams
West Virginia Director of Scouting

After drilling down into our google analytics we have compiled a list of the ten most visited West Virginia profiles on the Prep Baseball Report website in 2014.  Over the next ten days we will count down to the end of the year with a look at those profiles that were most viewed.

No. 3 Trey Dawson

Dawson put up impressive numbers as a junior in 2014 helping Hurricane HS capture the West Virginia Class 3A state title. Along the way Dawson hit .381, scored 32 runs, had 17 extra base hits including three home runs, and drove in 35 runs.

Currently ranked No. 4 in West Virginia and No. 212 in the PBR combined class of 2015 rankings, Dawson is just as talented in the field. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound LSU recruit is a 6.85 runner and makes plays on the move at shortstop with fluidity. He has a big enough arm to remain on the left side of the diamond at the next level and could easily play third base or second base as well.

Dawson joins C Tate Brock (West Virginia) and RHP J.T. Rogoszewski (North Carolina) who also return to give the Redskins a solid chance at making a run at a second state title in as many years.
