Michael GroveTomorrow 71 of the most talented prospects in the 22 state Prep Baseball Report coverage area will strut their stuff at the Max-McCook Athletic & Exposition Center's state of-the-art 125,000 square-foot open turf facility just outside of Chicago. The 13th edition of the Super 60 Showcase will mark just the 2nd time that the state of West Virginia will have representation. RHP Shane Ennis (Hampshire HS), now at West Virginia University, was the first prospect from the mountain state to participate in the event's storied history when he traveled to Chicago last year.

West Virginia will double its representation this year when RHP Michael Grove (Wheeling Park HS), a West Virginia University recruit, and C Zach Minnick (Logan HS), a Campbell University recruit, showcase their skills for professional scouts.

Zach MinnickThis prestigious, invitation-only event features only the top players in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. Over the last 12 years, the Super 60 has become one of the most heavily scouted preseason event for potential draft picks. The primary purpose of the Super 60 is to give professional area scouts and cross-checkers a head start to the high school season. The event is for Class of 2015 players and select 2016 prospects.

Last year, 82 professional scouts of all levels were in attendance. Since the event's inception in 2003, more than 200 players have been selected in the MLB Draft, including four first-round picks and eight second-rounders. Last year saw 17 of the 30 pitchers touch 90-mph or better, while 23 of the 46 position players ran sub-6.8 60s. Fifteen past Super 60 participants were selected in the top 25 rounds last year alone.

Check-in Times:
Position players and catchers will check in between 8:10-8:40 a.m.
Pitchers will check in between 10:40-11 a.m.
Pitchers should conclude around 3:30 p.m.
