Living in Indianapolis, all I had heard was the word "super" for the last two weeks. However, two Sunday's ago I found myself hearing that word again, but this time in reference to the one of the best events for pro prospects,  The Prep Baseball Report's Super 60.

Indiana was well represented at the event with 9 players, including the number one overall player at the event, junior Trey Ball (New Castle HS). He was easily the most talked about player at the event and could very well be the best prospect to ever attend the Super 60. 

It is very simple to describe Ball; he is an athletic freak. He does everything really well, with the only question about him being, is he a hitter or a pitcher.

Nolan Rogers (Bloomington South HS) was another bright spot from Indiana.  Rogers continues to quietly move up everyone's lists. He ran a 6.78, was 87 mph from the outfield, and graded out well at the plate. He doesn't come with the hype as some of the other outfielders; he is quiet and just goes about his business. I would put him up against every outfielder that attended this year's Super 60. If you like him in a showcase, you will love him in a game. The left handed hitter has the ability to take over a game in every facet.

Alex Krupa, a junior from Greenwood HS, ran a 6.78 sixty (has been clocked as high as a 6.5 at previous events). At the plate, Krupa showcased the ability to drive the baseball. If he continues to improve at the plate, combined with his speed and athleticism, he should continue to open the eyes of pro scouts.

Matt Dauby, a senior from Cathedral HS and committed to VA Tech, was also impressive. All summer long I heard rumblings regarding Dauby's foot speed, but at the event he quickly shut down those concerns by running a 6.9 sixty. Defensively, he showed off quick hands, good foot work, and a quick release. He looked fluid across the field. At the plate, his swing continues to improve. He can hit for power, average, and can handle the bat and move runners. If he ends up at Virginia Tech, Dauby could be a big time draft pick in three year or four years.

Jordan Striegel a senior from New Albany HS and committed to Louisville demonstrated quick hands at the plate and in the field. He ran a 7.03 sixty and was 85 across the infield. Striegel has a quiet setup with explosive hands allowing him to produce power to all fields.

Wes Edrington is a MIF from Hamilton Southeastern HS. Edrington was a move in last year, and HSE is pretty happy with their future division one middle infielder. At the Super 60 he ran a 6.95, was 87 across the infield, and showed good hands and feet up the middle. Offensively, Edrington is a small statured guy that allows his quick hands to produce power.

Zac Ryan a RHP/3B from Andrean HS was a Super 60 repeat. Last year, he was the talk of the event when he touched 90 as a sophomore. This year he was stronger, a little taller and even more explosive. The ball seemed to explode onto the plate. He touched 91 and flashed a better change up and breaking ball. Ryan has definitely cemented himself into most pro guy's radar.

Daniel Ayers committed to Western Michigan is a 2013 LHP from Columbus North HS. Coming into the Super 60 event he had seen little pro attention, but when he flashed an 89 mph fastball and one of the better breaking balls at the event, many people left with another 2013 arm that needed to be followed from the state of Indiana.
