1. The meeting at the mound after the catcher throws down. We do not need to have 7 pow-wows in between innings. Yes, I know it promotes team unity, but do you really like your teammate more because you touched gloves in the third inning of an 8-2 game?  

2. Pitchers, the dirt circle is for you, so stay on it. There is no need to take 4 steps into the grass and then another 4 to get back on the rubber. Think about it; 8 steps times 100 pitches equals 800 unnecessary steps. You are killing the grass on the front of the mound, so stay on the dirt to catch the baseball.

3. Pitchers and catchers is it really a shock that a runner made it to second? Why do you have to go out and talk to him about signs? Do this before the game, or better yet before the season.  I am also confused why after the warm-up pitches in the first inning you have to get together and go over the signs. Catcher, this is not the first time you have caught him. The pitcher usually doesn't add a pitch from the bullpen to the game. Get this figured out before the game.

4. Teams, why do we include the catcher in around the horn? What big league team does this? Catchers, half the time you complain your arm is sore, so why throw more? I am happy you did your job and backed up first, but now hustle back to the plate.

5.  The number signs.  Ok, I get it if you want to use this to relay offensive plays from the third base box, but do not abuse it when no one is on and we have a 2-0 count and two outs.  What sign are you putting on? Also, do we need to call every pitch with a wristband? You are making the game longer.

6. Backup throws.  It’s simple. Middle infielders back up throws back to the pitcher with runners on. Pitcher's back up a base after you give up a hit.

7. Middle Infielders if you are quiet, start talking!

8. Pants that hug the calves.  Pull them up or pull them down, nothing in the middle.

9. The waste pitch.  When it is a 0-2 count, throw a pitch with a purpose. Do not miss by three feet, or throw it away.

10. High school stadiums that wind screen in behnd the plate, making it impossible to scout.
