7/28/16 - The 6-foot-3, 192-pound LSU recruit flashed the biggest velocity of the week, peaking at 95 mph, while sitting in the 92-93 range for most of his first outing. Along with his premium velocity, Henry also throws a sharp breaking ball and a changeup that can be a plus pitch down the road.

6/17/16 - 6-foot-4 LSU recruit. Came out the gates hot, sitting 91-92 mph with his fastball, topping out at 93.  Aside from his velocity, Henry showcased a plus 77-80 slider with sharp, late break, a pitch which he threw consistently for strikes. Working from a high-3/4 slot with a clean arm action, Henry has a slow-tempo delivery until foot strike, then his arm is lightning quick. Henry finished his four-inning stint yielding no earned runs, one unearned, two hits with three strikeouts and three walks.

3/24/16 - Started for Florence and went five innings, allowing four runs on six hits and four walks while striking out five. Despite the line, Henry was impressive. He has a big frame, standing at 6-foot-4, 195 pounds and showed some of the best stuff of the event. His fastball was 89-92, touching 93, and occasionally showed late, diving action. He showed good feel for a changeup in the mid 80s and his curveball had 11/5 shape and depth at 74-77. Henry struggled with his control, throwing 56 of his 100 pitches for strikes.

2020 DRAFTAnother highly talented soph-eligible arm in the 2020 class, Henry is a tall, athletic righty with an on-line, repeatable delivery. With physical projection remaining in his 6-foot-4, 210-pound frame, he gets over his front side and extends well on his 93-94 mph fastball, which touches 96 or better at times. It shows good ride through the zone, sink when down and he commands the pitch to both sides of the plate. He also shows very good arm speed and command of his 84-86 live-actioned changeup. Another potential plus pitch in his arsenal is his curveball, which played down a bit from last season. Henry shortened up his arm path in back this spring and was just a click off with the release point. Previously in the 74-75 mph range, the pitch sat 77-79 this spring, and the consistency remains a work-in-progress. After a stellar freshman campaign going 4-2 with a 3.39 ERA in 58.1 innings and striking out 72, Henry started strong this spring with a 2-1 record and a 1.89 ERA with 23 strikeouts in 19 IP. With top-of-the-rotation starter traits in his body type, athleticism, delivery, arm action and three-pitch arsenal, Henry will likely seek first round dollars, knowing that if he doesn’t get it, returning to Baton Rouge could easily pay off in top half of the first round dividends in 2021.

2/14/20: Long frame with athleticism. Still has some projection in body-frame could easily hold 10 more lbs. Simple, medium effort delivery with repeatable movement patterns. Punched out 8 in 4 innings with most swings and misses coming off fastball and changeup. Downhill fb with consistent arm side action getting multiple swings and misses. Curveball showed good 11/5 shape with bite and depth. Showed CB for strike and buried but backs up at times. Changeup plays off of the fastball. Effective vs. both LHH and RHH with true feel for the pitch. Good athlete. Average pick off move. Overall, its all there-good stuff with feel to pitch. Solid week 1 start. Would like to see less 3 ball counts and more consistency with the breaking ball. Role 60 #2 Starter. (W Jones)

11/10/19: 6-foot-4, 214-pound physical frame. Draft eligible Sophomore, currently No. 53 on the 2020 PBR Draft Board, outstanding Freshmen Campaign, went 4-and-2 with a 3.39 ERA in 58.1 innings, struck out 72 while only walking 18. Clean, on-line delivery with athleticism, good rhythm and minimal effort. Medium arm circle into a high- slot, clean with high-end arm speed. Worked 92-96 with an elite fastball, pitching to both sides of the plate with above average command. Showed feel for a 76-77 mph slurve with quality spin and the ability to throw for a strike and for swing and miss. Showed real feel for the changeup in warmups. (Sofio)

3/23/19: Draft eligible by age pitching prospect for 2020. He's a tall, strong-armed righty with good arm action and a repeatable delivery. Really gets over his front side and extends well on his 90-94 mph fastball which showed good ride through the zone and sink when down. Very good arm speed on his changeup at 84-86 mph, a potential plus pitch in the future. Inconsistent curveball at 74-76 mph which may be caused by the slightly inverted position of his wrist in the back of his arm path. This can cause a pitcher to lose the loose "whip" a curveball requires. (Seifert)
