McCullough is a 6-foot-1 170-pound right-hander with an athletic frame and a thin build. He uses a short quick arm action from a H ¾ slot. His drop and drive delivery is repeated consistently with regular effort. He commanded the strike zone with a fastball which worked 87-90 with slight sink. McCullough is a 5-foot-11 155-pound right hander with a medium frame and an athletic build. He struck out 6 in his 3 innings of work. He did this by locating his fastball 83-86 mph down in the strike zone and complimented it with a 11/5 curveball with depth thrown 71-73 mph. McCullough works with rhythm and balance throughout his delivery. His arm action is clean and loose from a H3/4 arm slot. As a 2018 grad the future looks bright for McCullough definitely a name to follow over the next three years.

8/20/19: Sat out the spring after transferring to Kansas State from Arkansas last fall. His summer was an impressive reintroduction to game action (1.05 ERA/0.94 WHIP), with the underclass righty punching out 29 in 25.2 innings while holding opponents to a .172 average. He’ll be a close watch upon returning to campus, with a fastball that works in the low 90s and improving hard curve, and looks the part of a potential Day Two talent for 2021.
