Harpenau

4/08/15 Harpenau is a 6-foot, 175-pound right-hander with a medium frame with an athletic build. His fastball was 88-90 mph with slight run. He complimented his fastball with a slider with 11/5 shape and sharp late break. It has added deception since he throws it with fastball arm speed. Mechanically he works from a High ¾ arm slot with a loose clean arm action. He maintains some rhythm and balance throughout his delivery. He tends to fall to the first base side on his finish and uses extra effort. Overall Harpenau is solid, I would like to see him be less emotional on a pitch by pitch basis with umpires.

 
A quality two pitch guy, Harpeneau has a fastball 86-89 and a sharp slider 77-79. He really understands how to pitch and knows the game well overall. There is a little extra effort in his delivery but he still maintains good mechanics.
