2017 Future Games

6-foot-3, 170-pound, long, lengthy, wiry strong athlete, has plenty of room to fill out and put weight on. A right-handed pitcher with a projectable frame, the arm is quick and powerful. The delivery has tempo to it, hands start high, work downward in side step and  then work back with high leg raise, could smooth out the finish, looks to jump out of the gather at times. The arm action is down to up on the back side, works out of a high ¾ slot. The front glove is strong and is inline to the plate, lead leg is slightly closed on foot strike. The fastball reached 87 mph, sat at 83-85 mph, located it well to arm side, with run action to it. The curveball was clocked at 65-66 mph, more top to bottom rotation, threw a slider as well, clocked at 71-72 mph, was thrown more as a putaway pitch, good depth and late break. The changeup is a work in progress, had sink to the arm side. Big follow for me, look for the velocity to climb.

7/18/17

6-foot-2, 170 pounds, strong, athletic frame, it’s long and lengthy with plenty of room to fill out. A two way player, is a serious guy off the mound. The arm is electric, has average length on the back side, works out of a higher slot, pounds the fastball to both sides, has run and bore action to the arm side, fastball was clocked at 82-85 mph. The breaking ball reached 73 mph with more top to bottom break to it. The delivery is athletic, the direction is inline. Defensively, shows to have an above average arm from the hot corner, hands are soft, performed the backhand play with ease. The arm was clocked at 78 mph across the diamond, with easy carry to the throws. Offensively, hits from the right side, is balanced throughout, feet are slightly wider than shoulder width, with front foot slightly open. The hands are relaxed loose, with some tilt to the bat angle. The swing is level through the zone, transfers the weight from the back side to front, gets through the baseball well. Stays tall throughout, with lift to the swing, approach is middle to pull. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 88 mph, and ran a 4.68. Big time follow off the mound, will be off the board quick in my opinion. Will be attending the Future Games as a pitcher.

Home-First: 4.68

Exit Velocity: 88 MPH

Arm Velocity: 78 MPH

3/8/17
6-foot-2, long, lengthy athletic frame. A well proportioned pitcher's frame, arms are long, has plenty of room to fill out, frame has filled out since last year. One of the better pitchers in his class. A right-handed pitcher, delivery has timing and tempo to it, hands start high work downward and then come back up with his high powerful leg kick. The frontside glove is strong stays in line and has minimal pull with it, stride leg could get more inline with back foot through target. Repeats the delivery for the most part, arm action is long and loose, comes out of a high ¾ slot. The fastball has climbed once again, clocked at 84-87 mph, it's a heavy ball  with a ton more left in there. The breaking ball has improved, clocked at 68-70 mph, late tight break, has 11/7 action to it. The changeup is a bit firm but thrown for strikes at 78-82 mph. Pitches downhill, creates a very tough angle to the plate, times were quick at 1.12-1.34. Big time follow, committed to attend the future games in 2017.

11/2/16

6-foot-1, 165-pound, thin, long athletic frame, shoulders have some width to them and the neck is long. The frame has plenty of room to fill out. Ranked 23rd in New England, participated in the Futures last year, has accepted his invitation for this upcoming year to that event. A right-handed pitcher, with an electric arm, the fastball has jumped in the last two months. The delivery is repeatable and has tempo and timing to it, builds momentum throughout. The leg raise is smooth, gets to a good gather, weight stays strong on the backside. The arm action is short and clean on the back side, arm comes through out of a high ¾ slot. The fastball was clocked at 84-86 mph, threw it for strikes to the glove side, which is a real good sign he gets out front and extension. The breaking ball was clocked at 65-68 mph, more of a curve, will need to convert it into a slider, has the hand speed to do so. The change up was at 76-78 mph, has the makings of being an above average pitch, needs to continue to work with it, get the feel. Times to the plate are very good at 1.22, should be able to function holding runners at the level. Gaining interests from division one programs.

8/5/16- Future Game Report

6-foot-1, 160-pound, long and lengthy athletic frame. The neck is long and shoulders are square, has plenty of room to fill out. On the mound this right-handed pitcher, has a repeatable delivery. The frontside is strong and has good direction to the plate, gets squared up on release. The arm action is slightly longer, has a small jab at the bottom of the path, besides that it's clean and works. The arm comes out of the a high-¾ slot. The fastball was 80-82 mph, pitches downhill, needs to create some movement to the armside. The breaking ball was 64-65 mph, with a small slider at 72-73 mph. The tempo and times to the plate are good, was 1.28. Good looking young arm with a solid future.

7/27/16
6-foot, 155-pound, thin, lengthy athletic frame. The arms are long and shoulders are sloped, has plenty of room for future development. A right-handed pitcher, who was a huge surprise, earned an invitation to the future games off of his performance. The delivery has tempo and timing to it. The hands start high and come down with rocker step and then go back up with his leg raise, which is smooth and under control. The separation is inline, and arm swing is slightly longer, has a very small jab/hesitation at the bottom of path, for the most part the arm is clean. The arm works out of a high-¾ slot. The fastball was pounded in there at 80-82 mph, ball jumps when it gets to plate, has good spin to arm side. The curveball was clocked at 65-67 mph, with more downward break, but it needs to be thrown harder. The change up was clocked at 77 mph, with downward action to it. Time to the plate can get quicker, was 1.56. Offensively, hits from the right side, stance is slightly open to even and a little shorter than shoulder width. The swing is level to up and finishes with one hand. The tee exit velocity was 81 mph. In game performance collected a hit and off the mound, went through his two innings pretty quick, pounded the zone. Big time follow for me, look for velocity to make a climb.
