7/12/16
5-foot-10, 165-pound athletic frame, shoulders are sloped, arms are long and he has plenty of room for future development. Bartoli continues to get better and has taken off from the mound. This right-hander works from an easy repeatable delivery. The arm is clean, quick and the ball jumps out of his hand. In his delivery, his hands go over his head with a small pause at gather position, direction is in line and uses his legs. The slot is high-3/4, with the fastball sitting 85-87 mph in his two innings of work. The breaking ball is thrown hard at 72-75 mph, with depth and downward break. Still new to pitching so his changeup is a work in progress, was clocked at 78 mph with proper fade and sink. Offensively, hits with a slightly open to even stance, starts the bat on the back shoulder. The stride is minimal and hands get loaded up well. The path is level, could get more of the lower backside, finishes with two hands. The tee exit velocity was 88 and ran a 4.77, been dealing with a small hip flexor. Defensively, his arm is his best tool, hands are soft and work out front, footwork needs to be smoother with more of the flow. Projects for me as more of a serious bullpen arm, should throw strikes and be able to put hitters away.

3/2/16
5-foot-10, 165-pound, long, lean, wiry-strong athletic frame, has plenty of room for future development. A right-handed pitcher, arm is clean, loose and works fluidly. The arm works out of a natural ¾ slot, has late action to the arm-side, it’s electric. The fastball was clocked at 84-85 mph, was down in the zone, ball jumps out of his hand. The breaking ball was 72-74 mph, with late break, good depth, and spin was tight. The changeup was 77-80 mph, little hard, will be a work in progress, with such clean arm action should pick it up quickly. Times to the plate were 1.51-1.74, uses a quarter kick, needs to be quicker. Over the last year he has devoted more time to pitching, has a ton more in his arm, velocity will continue to climb as he gets more comfortable with his delivery.

2/14/16
5-foot-10, 160-pound wiry, athletic build. Shoulders are sloped, frame is extremely loose and flexible. A two-way guy, offensively the stance is balanced, slightly open and bat is flat on the shoulder. Hands are loose, gets back into a good hitting position and uses a small toe tap for timing. The lower half could get more involved from the backside, but it’s better than the previous event. The tee exit velocity was 86 mph, ball has life when it comes off the bat. Still needs to let the ball travel, has some pop though. Defensively, plays up the middle, the arm is his best tool, was clocked at 82 mph across the diamond. Fielded balls out front, footwork is good, needs to continue to follow throws to target. Footwork has continued to improve. Off the bump, has a serious chance. The arm is electric at times, ball jumps out of his hand. Works out of a ¾ slot, fastball was 82-85 mph, with more in there.  The delivery is repeatable, hands go over head out of the windup. The breaking ball is hard at 74-75 mph, spin is late and tight. Shows some feel for the change, with the arm action being so clean and effortless, should pick up change pretty quick. Times to the plate were around 1.50. Tons left in the arm, just started to pitch consistently this past summer.

10/12/15
Second workout for Bartoli with PBR. I like his game a ton. A middle infielder, shows good hands and a solid arm. The hands and feet work well together, needs to get ball out front a bit more when fielding. The arm path is clean with good carry to the ball, was 84 across the diamond. At the plate, hits from the right side. The stance is balanced and a little open to even.  The hands are set just at shoulder height and the take back is good, they get into a good hitting position. The stride is short and quiet, could get a the lower ½ involved a little more. Off the mound showed an easy and repeatable motion. The fastball was 81-83 and threw it to both sides of the plate. The curveball has good spin and rotation to it, was 71-72, did not show much of a change put with the clean arm should be able to pick it up fairly quick. I like the bat, much more in there and can see him moving to the right side of the infield and becoming an offensive second baseman.

7/14/15
5-foot-9, 145-pound athletic wiry body, with room to put weight on. Showed extremely well, at SS showed an 84 mph arm across the diamond. Hands are ok, needs to field the ball out front and continue to move his feet towards target. Backhands were good came through the ball well. A right-handed hitter showed plus bat speed, stance is even with his hands a bit low but he gets hands to the ball very quick. In game sprayed the ball to both fields, exit velocity was 85. Played very hard and is someone to follow, with added strength and smoothing out the catch and footwork together, watch out, going to be good one.
