2/20/19

Mink has a lively fastball at 89-91, touching 92, from a 3/4 slot. His slider was inconsistent, but flashed sharp bite and 3/4 break at 76-77.

10/12/18 - Florida commit. 6-foot-1, 185-pound right-handed pitcher, lean, athletic build, long legs. Long circular arm action, shows some on back-side, gets out front quickly, high ¾ slot. Continues to see upticks in velocity, this time sitting 90-92 with run. Slider, commanded, tight spin, depth, 11/5 shape, 73-75, struck out the first three batters he saw with. Keeps making strides forward to improve and increase stock.

12/22/17- Florida recruit. Stands at 6-foot-1, 185 pounds with a lean, projectable frame with long legs. Quick, easy arm action throwing out of the ¾ slot. During his bullpen featured an 89-90 mph fastball with late life and worked down in the zone. Mixed in an 81-82 mph changeup with some sinking action along with a 70-72 mph slider that showed depth and tight spin. As Mink continues to add to strengthen and add to his frame, look for off-speed stuff to improve along with another jump in velocity.

07/09/17- Committed to the University of Florida.

01/21/17- The athletic 6-foot, 175-pound RHP/OF has impressed at multiple events over the summer and fall and did not fail to disappoint at the Preseason All-State. He has always shown his athleticism and made a jump on the mound and did so again. Going from 84-86 to 86-87 mph with much more in there. There is some effort and he can cut himself off at times, but when he really gets extended the velo will jump and will highlight the natural late life. He attacked down in the zone with the fastball. Did not throw any offspeed pitches this event, but has shown quality offspeed stuff in the past. He will be a very interesting player to continue to watch going forward.

12/15/16- Currently ranked No. 39 in the Florida Class of 2019, No. 227 Overall. Stands at 6 feet, 180 pounds with an athletic, projectable build. Quick arm from the ¾ slot with a fastball that sat 84-85 mph with life along with a 73-74 mph changeup with some sink and a 67-68 mph curveball.

11/12/16- The athletic and high-waisted 6-foot, 180-pound RHP/OF has a lot of potential. On the mound, he is athletic and throws from a ¾ slot with life on a fastball that ranges from 84-85 mph with much more to come. He also showed a feel for his secondary pitches with a tight slider from 69-70 and a changeup with quality fading action at 78-80 mph. Offensively, the right handed hitter drops his hands in his load and can get long at times. There is some bat speed and potential, but will have to become consistently shorter to the ball. Defensively, he shows average actions in the outfield. The big potential comes on the mound where there is a lot of upside with present feel for three pitches.

09/17/16- The athletic 6-foot, 180 pound RHP/OF, showed athleticism and a quick arm on the mound. Landing slightly closed, with a crossfire action, he threw from a ¾ slot with a quick and easy arm action. The fastball ranged from 84-86 mph with late sinking action which resulted in three strikeouts and two jammed weak ground balls in the 5 hitters he faced. At times, his arm got trapped behind him, but when he got extended there was life on the fastball with more to come. The slider has a good shape to it and ranged from 68-69 mph. The right handed hitter starts from an open stance and uses a low hand load trigger. He has an uphill path and tended to get long, but shows some bat speed. His potential is on the mound and has a high upside being athletic with a quick arm.
