Good routes and angles, fields deep on side of body occasionally, limited use of front side, stiffer arm action, solid accuracy, 70 mph arm strength.

3/13/16- 6-foot, 185-pound left-handed hitting outfielder. 7.03 runner. Strong build. One of best bats at event. Clean bat path with loud contact. Creates bat speed with well above avg. pop with minimal effort. Short to contact and shows ability to hit for power to all fields. 95 mph exit velocity. Has made improvements in outfield. Looks more comfortable with routes and fielding. Ball comes clean out of hand with good accuracy to target at 78 mph. Everyday left-fielder and middle-of-order bat.

8/4/15- 6-foot, 190-pound left-handed hitting outfielder. Physical build. 7.4 runner at this event. Slight uphill setup in box. Long stride with balance. Above avg. bat speed with lift in swing. Shows power to pull side of field. 93 mph exit velocity off tee. Aggressive routes to ball. Works to exchange/release quickly. Does good job of fielding low to ground. Avg. arm action and carry. Solid accuracy. 76 mph arm strength. High follow with offensive ability.

McCargar is 6-foot, 185-pound left-handed hitting outfielder from Dowling Catholic HS in Des Moines. Physical build with present strength. Had the events best round of B.P. Hit numerous balls out to pull side. Has pre-set hand position and shows rhythm and balance throughout swing. Swing is loose and clean; ball jumps off bat at contact. Linear actions and drives through at contact very well for player his age. Solid actions in outfield. Works behind fly-balls and creates direction to target. Lacks arm strength limiting himself to left field presently. 69 mph arm strength from outfield. Solid runner and one of better bats in 2017 class. Strong Follow as he progresses through high school.
