8/5/18- 6-foot-4, 225-pound left-handed pitcher. #26 player in current Iowa 2019 rankings. Projectable frame and has begun to lean out over last 6-8 months. Builds tempo in delivery, higher knee to balance point, gets out and over front leg, clean arm action. Fastball was 79-81 mph with running action to arm side of plate. Shows solid fade and sink on changeup. Throws slower 12/6 curveball which is solid/avg. and harder slider with more lateral plane and sharper break.
7/31/17- 6-foot-4, 225-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. On mound; uptempo through balance point, throws glove side down mound creating deception, long arm action- shortens through- and delivers from high ¾ slot. Fastball was 82-85 mph, slight cut, and works in to right-handed hitters. 68-69 mph curveball is more get me over type pitch. Slider is above avg., thrown at 76-78 mph, with sharp 1/7 break, well above avg. depth and is thrown on tilted plane. 4.69 runner. Present strength, leg kick trigger, lower hand slot, middle/pull approach, hard pull contact, shows extension through baseball with lift, 91 mph exit velocity. Works down to up, sure hands, avg. footwork around bag, sound receiver, above avg. arm strength for first base, 83 mph arm across field.

3/5/17- 6-foot-4, 220-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Simple delivery, level front side, easy arm action, ball jumps out of hand. Fastball shows good life with varying run and cut action at 83-84 mph; and McCune projects to continue to add velo. Breaking ball is above avg. with late 1/7 sharp break. Occasionally cut action on changeup with avg. feel for zone. 7.53 runner. Square stance, body load, line drive swing plane, shows ability to elevate the baseball, solid bat speed, 94 mph exit velocity. Solid athlete at first, sure hands, 81 mph arm strength across field.
12/28/16- 6-foot-4, 215-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Previously unknown prospect. Performed extremely well at event. Projects physically with sturdy large frame. Shows easy effort on mound with quick loose arm action from the left-side. Has body control and direction with rhythm in delivery. Ball is very quick out of hand and jumps on hitters at the plate. Fastball was 81-82 mph with varying late action for strikes. Breaking ball was 68-70 mph with tight spin and late 2/8 break. Present changeup is avg. with varying command and action at 75-76 mph. As a position player; 4.12 home-to-first time. Slight rhythm in hands, front heel turn trigger, short to contact, avg. use of lower half, consistent solid contact to middle of field, 89 mph exit velocity. Shows solid range, active feet, works to field out front, with usable glove and actions, 78 mph arm strength across diamond.
