Illinois commit, ranked No. 54 in the Illinois’ 2019 class. 6-foot, 170-pound, thin, athletically-built, left-handed pitcher. Started on the mound for Joliet Catholic in their second game of the day. Works quickly, competitive demeanor, attacks hitters. Throws from a ¾ slot, with a loose arm action and easy effort in his delivery. Fastball sat in the mid-80’s, flashed arm side run. Feel for offspeed. Curveball had 12/6 shape, sat 68-69 mph. Changeup sat 76-77 mph. Final Line: 7 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 7 K, 3 BB.

9.16.18 - University of Illinois commit, currently ranked No. 57 in Illinois’ 2019 class. 5-foot-11, 170-pound, left-handed pitcher, athletic frame, projects on the mound. Started and went five innings in his start allowing two soft contact singles and striking out six. Faced two more than the minimum. Uptempo style, got the ball and delivered to home, minimal waisted movements, low effort delivery. Quick side step to coil balance point, shoulders stayed square, works cross body to home, closed toe landing, super easy, athletic finish. Arm plays short and quick, shows on back side, arm speeds through clean high ¾ window, repeated. Made hitters look very uncomfortable with ability to locate all three pitches in any count. Fastball worked straight, cut it in to righties, painted the knees all game and showed ability to climb the ladder, 83-85 mph. Curveball, sharp 1/7 and 12/6 break with plenty depth, buried it for multiple swings and misses, manipulated it, 70-72 mph. Changeup faded with arm speed, in the zone, 74-76 mph.

Loose arm action, high ¾ slot, athletic delivery, pitches with energy and bounce. Confident in own ability to pitch. Fastball, sink action, 80-83. Curveball, 2/8 shape, depth, 68-73. Attacked hitters, consistently in the strikezone. Against St. Joseph-Ogden finished with statline of: 5 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ERA, 8 K, 2 BB.

2.11.18 - Illinois commit. 5-foot-11, 167-pound left-handed pitcher, lean frame long legs. Delivery works across his body, closed shoulders, in rhythm, regular effort. Arm action is loose and quick, high ¾ slot. Fastball has arm side run, 82-83 mph. Curveball has 1/7 shape, near fastball arm speed, 69-72 mph. Has feel for changeup, 75-77 mph, slight arm side action.

Falls off to third base side after release. Fastball sat 76-78 mph will miss up, arm side. Slider has 2-8 shape at 69-71 mph for strikes. Changeup has cutting action at 73 mph.
