A two-way talent, Burton followed up a big spring season by delivering at several higher-profile events. Burton has quick hands at the plate, as he proved during the spring when he batted .507 with 6 home runs, 9 doubles, 3 triples and 28 RBI. He also scored 37 runs and swiped 12 bases. On the mound, he finished with a 0.66 ERA with a 3-2 record. In 32 innings, he struck out 43 and walked 17.
