8/9/14 - 5-foot-11, 170-pound right-handed pitcher currently ranked No. 246 in Illinois’ 2015 class.  Fastball sat 84-86 mph in first inning of work, 82-84 mph in second inning.  Works from a long, two-piece, high ¾ to over the top slot, stabs and wraps in back of arm action, but possesses above average arm speed.  Slight drop and drive delivery, toe up at balance point, leans torso back at balance point, shoulders work uphill, lower half stride direction stays in line with home plate.  Arm action effects speed of breaking ball, which is thrown 65-67 mph.  Did now show a changeup in game action, but sat between 74-77 mph between innings.  Schrimmer’s delivery is unique in that he is a bit stiff and awkward, but it’s a different look that provides deception and can make hitters uncomfortable.  Gave up one unearned run in two innings of work, with two strikeouts, not allowing a hit.
6/19/14 - 5-foot-10, 165-pound right handed pitcher. Delivery has some direction, squared landing, shoulders work uphill. Arm action is long, two-piece action, over the top slot. Fastball showed control of the zone, 81-83 mph. Curveball works at 66-69 mph, decelerated arm action. Changeup sat 74-77 mph.
2/17/14 - 5-foot-10, 170-pound right handed pitcher, standard build. Delivery shows some effort, long arm action, high ¾ arm slot. Fastball is straight, sat 83-85 mph. Breaking ball had above average action, 11/5 plane, near fastball arm speed, showed control of the zone, 66-68 mph. Straight changeup has near fastball arm speed, 74-77 mph. Schrimmer has shown excellent improvements since seeing him last in September of 2013, gaining five mph on his fastball.
9.25.13 - 5-foot-10, 155-pound right-hander who throws from a ¾ slot with a long, loose arm action. Uses a drop and drive style delivery that showed sound rhythm and quality direction. His fastball was 78-80 mph out of the wind and stretch, with flashes of running action. His curveball comes in at 64-68 mph with a 12/6 shape and loose, rolling action. The changeup ranged between 68-71 mph, flashing 72 mph, with occasional sink.
7.17.13 - Schrimmer has a solid 5-foot-10, 155-pound build. He is a projectable right-handed pitcher who showed control for all three of his pitches. Tall-and-fall delivery working in line with the plate with long, high ¾ arm action. Schrimmer had command for his fastball at 77-80 mph with run and slight sink, topping at 81 mph. Curveball sat 64-66 mph with pronounced 11/5 action. Changeup thrown with command at 72-73 mph with arm-side run and sink. Schrimmer is a prospect to keep an eye on.

6/13/12 Schrimmer is a 5-foot-7, 135-pound middle infielder who exhibited concise routes to the ball. He was clocked at 72 mph across the infield. On the mound, Schrimmer showed the ability to throw three pitches for strikes. He throws from an over the top arm slot and his fastball sat at 68-70 mph with some arm side run. Schrimmer secondary pitches consist of a 64 mph changeup and a 56-57 mph curveball.
