1/13/13 - 6-foot-2, 195-pound two-way player; projects more on the mound. Right-hander works out of a high-3/4 slot, short/high backside elbow with solid hand acceleration. Works with quick tempo, maintaining rhythm throughout delivery. Showed some feel for three pitches. Fastball showed some arm-side run in the 81-83 mph range. Slows arm action down on curveball, which flashed 10/4 action, in the 65-70 range. Changeup ranged between 71-73 with occasional sink when down. Positionally, clocked at 80 mph from outfield, 77 from shortstop. Ran a 7.52 60. Offensively, takes aggressive approach. Hits from an open setup with a high back elbow.

10/14/12 - The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Patterson topped at 84 mph, sitting in the 81-83 range, coming from a high-3/4 arm slot. Patterson has a short arm action and comes across his body. He also showcased a 69-72 mph curveball and a 75-77 mph changeup. Positionally, Patterson ran a 7.20 60 and was clocked at 78 mph from his position.

Patterson showed a quick bat that found the barrel at times. In the field, the lean 6-foot, 170-pound infielder’s hands worked out front while playing through the ball.
