1/12/14 - 6-foot, 220-pound catcher. Showed athletic feet and soft hands during bullpens. Moves well laterally, handles pitches comfortably. Exceptionally quick transfer, registered pop times between 2.07-2.25. Offensively, doesn’t get cheated in box. Hits from tall, open setup, leg-kick trigger, pull side approach, uphill path, creates lift in swing. Ball jumps off bat, 89 mph exit velocity.

10/13/13 - 6-foot, 220-pound catcher. Defensively showed quick twitch actions, quick transfer and quick release. Arm played at 67 mph out of the crouch, short arm action, over the top slot, excellent accuracy. Soft hands and clean exchange. Posted pop times of 2.11-2.19. Offensively hits from a balanced stance, toe tap stride, lower half works. Aggressive approach, excellent bat speed, 90 mph exit velocity from the tee. Makes hard contact, power hitter, showed the ability to work to all fields.

9.29.13 6-foot, 220-pound catcher. At the plate he has a tall, narrow stance with aggressive lower half. Bat path is short and slightly uphill with extension. Bat speed present, swings hard with pull side approach. Posted an exit velocity of 91 mph off a tee. Behind the plate he is a solid receiver with clean catch and throw mechanics. Throws it 71 mph from the crouch with pop times in the 2.29-2.34 range. Ran an 8.19 60.
