1.11.15 - 6-foot-1, 165-pound lanky and athletic switch-hitting MIF impresses more from the right side, hitting from an open stance, short, level bat path, recoils after contact, pull tendencies, above average bat speed, 84 mph exit velocity off the tee. Drops hands during load in left-handed swing, level bat path, new to switch hitting, currently lacks the strength he shows from the right side, 76 mph exit velocity. Defensively, throws from loose and whippy ¾ arm slot across the diamond from short, doesn’t use full arm strength (has thrown 90 mph from the outfield in the past). Soft hands fielding the baseball out front, plays through the baseball, moves side to side well, above average footwork and body control. Ran a 6.93 60.
6/19/14 - 6-foot-1, 150-pound shortstop/outfielder impressed with one of the top outfield arms at the Top Prospect Showcase throwing 90 mph from a loose over the top arm action with accuracy.  Showed soft hands and fluid actions both in the outfield and the infield.  From the outfield, took a considerable amount of time to get rid of the baseball after fielding it, gearing up for his crow hop.  Threw 80 mph across the infield from a shorter ¾ whippy arm action with good feel in the middle of the diamond.  Hits from an open setup, with elbows coming together as part of a pre-pitch routine before loading.  Showed a fluid rhythm and a short level bat path producing line drives from gap-to-gap with 84 mph exit velocity.  Recoils after contact snapping bat back to starting position.  Ran a 6.99 60.

2/16/14 6-foot-1, 150-pound shortstop, lanky frame, slender build. Defensively plays the position with ease, hands are soft and has advanced actions. Footwork is fluid and plays through the baseball, improved foot speed, ran a 7.07 60. Arm is strong across the diamond (82 mph), arm action is loose, high ¾ slot with carry and accuracy. High level defender. Offensively hits from an open setup, smooth loading action, short stride, maintains balance throughout. Loose athletic hands at the plate, hands generate bat speed, line drive approach, flat through the zone. Posted 91 mph exit velocity from the tee.

10/20/13 - 6-foot, 150-pound athletic multi positional player. In the outfield he showed above average actions and athletic movements. Arm worked free and easy at 89 mph with carry. On the infield he showed body control, soft hands, nimble footwork, and solid arm. Throws it 81 mph across the infield with accuracy. Ran a 7.4 60. Offensively, he hits with an open stance and short stride. Line drive type swing with fluid rhythm and middle approach. Exit velocity was 75 mph off a tee.
1/13/13 - Long, slender frame, thin lower half, 6-foot, 140-pound shortstop. Defensively, shows plus actions, soft hands, moves well laterally, above average range, arm strength has improved (83 mph), excellent body control, excellent overall defender. Offensively, hits from balanced setup, slightly open stance, smooth load, short stride, lower half works, excellent balance, swing repeats, line drive approach, short level path. Lacks overall strength.
10/28/12 - McArthur is a long lanky shortstop who showed advanced actions in the infield. At 6-foot, 140-pounds, McArthur’s ceiling is high. His frame has plenty of room to fill out and with added strength could be a highly sought after prospect. McArthur showed expansive range both to his left and right, displaying soft hands with a quick clean transfer. McArthur showcased a strong arm that showed carry and accuracy at 78 mph. Offensively, McArthur hits out of a balanced setup using a short stride. McArthur showed solid hands at the plate, consistently working the middle of the field with a line drive approach. McArthur’s easy swing and quiet approach will advance quickly with added strength as he matures.
McArthur is a 5-foot-7, 120-pound middle infielder who exhibited smooth, soft hands. He displayed fluid footwork at his position and showed natural instincts in the field. Offensively, McArthur is a left handed hitter with a balanced set up and good balance throughout his swing. His quick hands allow McArthur to generate some bat speed and create whip in his swing.
