8/4/15 - Verbally committed to Bellarmine
6/18/15 - 6-foot-6, 205-pound right-handed pitcher, long frame, pitchers body. Tall-and-fall delivery, long arm action, high ¾ slot, lands square. Fastball showed occasional arm-side-run, 85-86 mph, touched 87 mph. Curveball had 12/6 shape, 72-74 mph. Changeup showed good sink, sat 75-77 mph.

2.15.15 - 6-foot-5, 200-pound right-handed pitcher, extra-large frame, prototypical pitchers body. Tall and fall delivery, slight coil at top of balance position, lower half opens early. Easy arm action, loose, high ¾ slot, long arms. Straight fastball flashed slight sink, 83-84 mph, solid control. Curveball has gradual action, 69-71 mph. Good changeup at 74-75 mph, sinking action, controls well, near fastball arm speed.
7.23.14 6-foot-4, 190-pound right-handed hitting first baseman/right-handed pitcher with lanky, athletic, projectable frame.  Hits from a tall, open setup, hands load back smoothly, utilizes a short stride, barrell whips through the zone producing uphill bat path spraying line drives from gap-to-gap producing 89 mph exit velocity off the tee.  Defensively, has a plus frame for first base, throwing 78 mph across the diamond from short, over the top arm action with accuracy.  Ran a 7.44 60.  On the mound, utilizes long, loose, high ¾ arm slot with a slight stab in the back of arm swing that doesn’t affect his ability to get back out front.  Easy effort, slow tempo, tall-and-fall type delivery produces 83-85 mph fastballs from the windup, 81-83 mph from the stretch.  Slows arm on 69-71 mph breaking ball with 12/6 shape that was also thrown for strikes.  Gets underneath 69-70 mph changeup at times.  Nagel is a significant follow over the next two years, especially if his velocity takes a jump into the mid to upper 80’s.
1.19.14 - Advanced frame, long limbs. 6-foot-4, 180-pound right handed pitcher with projection. Deliberate delivery, works directionally, high ¾ slot, long loose arm action, regular effort. Fastball has slight arm side run, 81-82 mph, shows control of the zone. Curveball has 11/5 shape, well above average feel for the zone, 69-70 mph. Changeup showcased fading action, near fastball arm speed. 70-72 mph. Nagel has solid feel for the strike zone. His delivery repeats himself well for his size, as he matures and gets more accustomed to his body a more athletic delivery and added velocity could be in his future.
9.25.13 - Nagel looks to be one of the more projectable 2016 prospects we’ve seen thus far. The 6-foot-4, 175-pound right-hander features long legs and arms and has yet to fill into his athletic frame. Has a long, loose arm action, high-3/4 slot, arm works free and easily. Athletic delivery, low hand set, slight stab on backside, works downhill well. Fastball sat 80-81 mph, topping at 82. Curveball showed promise; 69-71 range; threw a few with occasional late 12/6 bite. Changeup (69-71 mph) still a work in progress. As he fills into his frame and sharpens his mechanics, Nagel should see a significant velocity spike in the coming years.
