4.4.15 - Unsigned senior, currently ranked No. 152 in Illinois’ 2015 class. Highly athletic 6-foot, 170-pound middle infielder. Offensive catalyst for Sandburg against St. Charles East, going 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored and a stolen base. Got things going early in first inning when he singled, stole second and scored on an error in the first inning, and also scored in the third as the Eagles mounted a 5-0 lead. Dropped down bunt single in seventh, 4.28 down line despite not getting out of box cleanly. At past PBR event, ran a 6.85 laser-timed 60. Features solid arm across infield (84 mph) and plays well on the move. Athletic enough to play multiple infield positions and outfield.
2.28.15 - 6-foot, 170-pound multi-positional athlete, average frame, athletic build. Defensively shows the ability to play multiple positions. On the infield, plays through the baseball well, light on his feet, fluid action, hands play. Arm action has athleticism, high ¾ slot, longer draw, 84 mph across the diamond. 6.85 runner in the 60, laser timed, ran a 6.70 and 6.66 this winter at the Cangelosi College Camp. Offensively hits from the right side, slightly open stance, smooth loading action, short stride, good balance through contact. Showed present bat speed, quick twitch athlete, loose athletic hands. Short path, line drive gap to gap approach. Also has shown 82-85 mph velocity off the mound, dropping arm angles, paired with a 74-75 mph late breaking slider.
8/9/14 - 6-foot, 170-pound multi-positional athlete, average frame, athletic build. Defensively shows the ability to play multiple positions. On the infield, plays through the baseball well, light on his feet, fluid action, hands play. Arm action has athleticism, high ¾ slot, longer draw, 81 mph across the diamond. 7.00 runner in the 60, laser timed. Offensively hits from the right side, slightly open stance, smooth loading action, short stride, good balance through contact. Showed present bat speed, quick twitch athlete, loose athletic hands. Short path, line drive gap to gap approach.
6/19/14 - 5-foot-11, 175-pound multi-positional player, athletic build. Showed athleticism in multiple facets of the game. Ran a 6.85 60. Defensively uses a short arm action through 85 mph from the outfield, 82 mph across the infield. Hands are athletic and can play at multiple positions, appears better suited in the outfield at the next level. Offensively hits from an open and tall setup, short stride. Line drive type hitter, occasionally gets uphill, 85 mph exit velocity from the tee.
2/16/14 5-foot-11, 175-pound outfield/shortstop, athletically built. Offensively hits from a solid setup, no stride, weight transfer trigger. Generates bat speed on a flat path, occasional length. 83 mph exit velocity from the tee. Displayed occasional pop and extension. Defensively showed athletic footwork on the infield, takes time getting rid of it, arm worked at 77 mph across the infield. In the outfield played through the baseball big crow hop, 80 mph arm strength. Also ran a 7.03 in the 60.
