1.30.17 - Verbally committed to Michigan State for football.
Future Games 2015 - One of the more physically impressive specimens at the Future Games, the 6-foot-3, 215-pound Rosenthal is a left-handed hitting catcher/first baseman with a power bat. Rosenthal flashed some of his juice in game play with a triple to his pull side off the right-center wall. The big man also runs well for his size, getting him at a 7.31 in the 60 and a 4.53 on the turn of his in game triple. Behind the plate he also carries a physical presence, the muscle-bound receiver showed a strong arm out of the crouch at 80 mph and posted pop times at 2.00-2.08. Left-handed hitting catchers are always an attractive commodity, add Rosenthal’s size, strength and power and there are likely to be several suitors.
2.22.15- 6-foot-3, 215-pound, left-handed hitting catcher with a strong build. In the field has a short arm action from an over the top arm slot. Some accuracy with carry on throws. Athletic fielder with average hands, and a clean exchange. Popped 1.92-2.09 and threw 82 mph from the crouch. At the plate hits from a wide base with an athletic setup. Minimal load with a heel lift stride and an explosive lower half. Power hitter who sprays line drives gap to gap. Short, uphill swing path. Showed strength thru contact with 85 mph exit velocity from a tee. Home to first in 4.32.
1.18.15 - 6-foot-3, 215-pound physical advanced, strong and athletic left-handed hitting catcher hits from an athletic wide base, hands load back smoothly, very little stride, incorporates legs into swing, short, level bat path, gets extension, feel for barrel, drove the baseball from gap-to-gap, power to his pull side, 77 mph exit velocity. Defensively, showed the best pure arm strength of any catcher at the Underclass Invitation, throwing 81 mph from the crouch from a short, over-the-top arm slot, with carry. Struggled some with accuracy, but tools are there. Quick footwork and quick, clean exchanges, pop times to second ranged from 1.94-2.04 down to second.
