5.2.15 - 6-foot-1, 195-pound left-handed hitting RHP/C impressed both on the mound and behind the plate. On the mound, broke Galesburg all-time wins record with his 24^th varsity win. Fastball sat 85-87 mph on the mound from short, quick, hi ¾ arm slot, displaying run to his arm side. Works fast with delivery and in between pitches, toe down at balance point, lower half stays in line with home plate, strike thrower who repeats delivery. Slider is go-to pitch, drops arm angle slightly at times on 73-77 mph offering with tight spin, late, 10/4 shape. Can vary shape of slider, either starting it at RHH hip and landing for a strike, or making it shorter as a put away pitch with more depth, starting down the middle and ending it out of the zone and down. Changeup flashes arm side run, used sparingly in the 71-73 mph range. Struck out twelve hitters with three hits allowed in five inning complete game. Moved behind the plate in game two, showing a short, quick, accurate arm down to second in between innings. Pop times ranged from 2.11-2.17 on the bag, was not tested in game play, and has posted 1.92-2.08 pop times in the past. Shows soft hands behind the plate, aggressive throwing behind runners at first base from knees, overall good feel for position. At the plate offensively, hits from balanced setup, wide base, front heel off the ground pre-pitch, short stride, hands held high around letters initially, hands drop down and back to load, fluid, uphill bat path. Hard line drive, two-RBI single to right in second at bat of the day. 4.84 runner to first on groundout to first baseman.

6.13.13 - 6-foot, 180-pound left handed hitting catcher, frame shows some length. Defensively recorded pop times of 2.01-2.08. Arm action is long, high ¾ slot, gets carry to his target, 80 mph from the crouch. Hits from the left side, slightly open stance, short stride. Bat speed present, 83 mph exit velocity, path is mostly level, short to the baseball, occasional lift. Isaacson is a projectable left handed hitting catcher who should see expansive strides in the coming years.

1/22/12 Isaacson is a 5-foot-11, 170-pound multi-positional player who showed well defensively, playing through the ball and showing good lateral range.  He demonstrated soft hands and an accurate arm (78 mph).  Behind the plate, Isaacson had a best pop time of 2.22 and stood out as a top-level receiver during bullpens.  Offensively, Isaacson is a switch-hitter who is solid from both sides.  He exhibits good balance throughout his swing and uses his active lower half to stay through the ball.

Isaacson is a versatile, switch-hitting prospect who showed well in all facets of the game. As a catcher, Isaacson demonstrated advanced footwork and soft hands receiving. In the outfield Isaacson showcased a solid, accurate arm (73 mph) while playing aggressively through the baseball. In the infield he showed soft hands and a smooth backhand. Additionally, he demonstrated an accurate arm and solid body control. At the plate, from the left side he showed a level swing and pull side power potential.
