6.6.18 - Drafted in the 28th round by the Oakland Athletics.
2nd Team All State: The UIC-bound Birlingmair did it all on the mound and at shortstop for the 26-10 Wildcats, leading them to the sectional semi-finals in the process. He hit .438 with six doubles, five triples, two home runs, 29 RBI, 30 runs, a .516 OBP, and also went 14-for-17 in stolen bases. Birlingmair did his real damage on the mound, where he was named the 2015 Big 12 Conference Pitcher of the Year going 10-2 with a 1.02 ERA, striking out 90 in 68 innings pitched. He allowed only 10 earned runs all season, walked 25, and posted a 1.103 WHIP. He won his last seven starts to close the year, and allowed only three earned runs in his two losses to University School (TN) and Chatham Glenwood.

5/16/15 - 5-foot-11, 180-pound athletic RHP, ranked No. 118 in IL works from a short, quick, high ¾ arm slot, toe up at balance point, high leg kick from the windup, level shoulders throughout delivery, works from the first base side of the mound, stride direction is in line with home plate. Fastball sat 87-89 mph, touching 90 mph once in the first inning. Settled into the 85-87 mph range throughout the outing, holding his velocity into the seventh. Fastball generally straight, ability to expand/beat hitters up in the zone for strikeouts. Curveball flashed 11/5 shape 68-71 mph. Struck out eight in six plus innings, game shortened by rain, officially credited with no-hitter. Also flashed a 75-77 mph change, fade to his arm side. Left-handed hitter at the plate. Single up the middle past second baseman in first at bat, 4.45 runner to first on the play.

5/15/14 - Ranked No. 100 in the state. 5-foot-11, 160-pound two-way player, lean athletic build. Birlingmair showed improved velocity on the mound, sitting 85-87 mph in the first touching one 89 mph. His fastball slowly declined as the game went along and settled into the 83-86 range in the middle innings while dipping again to 80-83 in the later innings. Arm action is loose and quick, high ¾ slot. Fastball filled the zone well, pitches aggressively with it. Curveball was inconsistent ranging from 66-71 mph, tendency to guide the pitch. Birlingmair finished with 15 strikeouts on the day and his improved arm strength could make him a strong follow on the mound. With a more aggressive breaking ball could project as a high level late game arm at the next level.
8/7/13 - 5-foot-11, 175-pound left handed hitting infielder, physically strong build. Offensively hits from an athletic setup, slightly open stance, minimal stride. Lower half is active, shows solid balance throughout. Barrel displays whip through the zone, creates lift and backspin. Pull side approach, uphill path with extension, well above average bat speed, 90 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively uses a long arm action, high ¾ slot, showed carry at 80 mph across the diamond. Also displayed quick and fluid footwork, 7.09 runner in the 60.
5/25/13 - Left handed swing infielder, 5-foot-11, 170-pounds. Aggressive left handed swing, shows above average bat speed, strong hands, mostly pull side approach. Defensively showed solid hands, average transfer, strong arm. Birlingmair shows projection at the plate from the left side, he shows advanced bat speed and a determination to not get beat by a fastball.

1/20/13 - Athletic frame, shows strength, 5-foot-11, 165-pound two-way player. Hits from left side, left handed pull pop, explosive bat speed, 93 mph exit velocity, rotational swing, lacks repeatability, hard contact. Defensively, shows strong arm (83 mph), long arm action, over the top slot, arm shows accuracy, athletic actions, average infield hands, could project as power hitting corner outfielder or third baseman. On the mound, shows arm speed, over the top arm action, quick arm, delivery shows effort, drop and drive style. Fastball sits 82-84 mph, touches 85 mph, shows control, some heaviness. Curveball works on 11/5 plane 64-67 mph, consistently down, near fastball arm speed. Changeup is straight, occasional arm side run, 67-70 mph.
10/28/12 - Birlingmair is a 5-foot-11, 165-pound two-way player. Birlingmair showed off a strong arm across the diamond, clocking in at 84 mph.  He demonstrated quick footwork and solid hands in the infield. Offensively, the left-handed hitting Birlingmair hits from a balanced setup using a short stride. Birlingmair, who ran a 7.28 60, worked exclusively to his pull side, displaying solid bat speed with some pop. On the mound, Birlingmair operated from a high ¾ arm slot while showing control from the stretch. His curveball showed some feel at 66-68 mph, working on an 11/5 plane and thrown for strikes. His fastball topped at 84 mph.
8/8/12  Birlingmair is a 5-foot-11, 160-poud two-way talent who looks to be one of the more well-rounded Class of 2015 prospects we’ve seen. He especially impressed at the plate with his left-handed swing.  Birlingmair starts from a balanced setup and has a smooth load.  He uses his strength to generate whip through the zone squaring up baseballs to the deep parts of the ballpark.  Defensively, Birlingmair showed solid lateral movements and was clocked at 80 mph from across the diamond.  Additionally, Birlingmair ran a 7.28 60.  On the mound, Birlingmair throws from over the top with a quick, loose arm.  Birlingmair has an 80-83 mph fastball that flashed some movement.  His off-speed pitches include a 62-64 mph curveball and a 68 mph changeup.
