5/15/19

Verbally committed to Pensacola State JC.

4/03/19

6-foot-3, 190-pound, athletically-built, high-waisted, projectable, right-handed pitcher. Currently ranked No. 45 in the Illinois’ 2019 class. One of the top unsigned seniors in the state. Had his second start of the season and was on a strict pitch count. Ended up going 1.2 innings pitched, allowing one hit, one run, none earned, struck out four and walked two. Delivery works with rhythm, rocker step into balance point and works on-line down the mound. Arm action projects; Loose and quick from a ¾ slot. Fastball sat 85-87 mph, touched 88, finishes through the zone; run and sinking action. Mixed in a slider and changeup on occasion but worked primarily off his fastball. Slider works 10/4, thrown for strikes, currently more of a get-me-over offering than a put-away pitch. Changeup, lacked feel on this day but has shown above-average action and feel in the past. High-interest right-handed pitcher still on the market.

9.30.17 - One of the top uncommitted arms in Illinois’ 2019 class; currently ranked No. 25 in Illinois. Shut down for the summer due to an arm injury, Keeley made his first appearance in a long while and provided a quick snapshot in his controlled two-inning stint of his high-ceiling potential. The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder has a long, athletic build with proportional strength and room for continued physical development. Working from a 3/4 slot, the arm is clean, loose and quick out front. He showed late arm-side sink to his fastball that ranged between 85-87, topping at 88, and threw a high-volume of strikes. It’s easy to see that there’s plenty more velocity coming in the future as he works back into shape and continues to physically develop. He threw only one slider at 79 mph in his two innings. With his arm slot and athleticism, his slider has the potential to be a swing-and-miss offering down the road.

4.7.17 - Currently ranked No. 146 in the overall 2019 rankings. 6-foot-3, 190-pound, athletically built right-handed pitcher with a live, loose body. Works fast, drop and drive delivery, slightly coiled at balance point, stays on-line, open toe landing. Arm works quick and loose out of a ¾ slot. Ball jumps out of his hand with easy effort. Fastball, hard run and sink at times, especially to his arm side; inconsistent repeating to glove side. Fastball sat anywhere from 85-88 mph throughout his start, with the majority being 88. Went to his slider often, varies in action and sharpness, flashed a couple with swing and miss action, 10/4 shape, occasionally backs up, 76-79 mph. Only threw one changeup, 75 mph. High-follow uncommitted 2019 arm.

7.26.16 - 6-foot-3, 190-pound right-handed pitcher with an athletic frame. Works from a high ¾ arm angle with a loose, quick arm action. Tall and fall delivery, coils at balance point. Works in line with home plate, square landing. Will change arm angle sometimes. Fastball has heavy sinking action at 83-85 topping out at 86 mph. Curveball has 11-5 shape with gradual action at 68-71 mph. Changeup sat 75-77 mph. Also featured a slider at 72 mph.
