Left-handed hitting two-way talent enjoyed a big sophomore season. On the mound, Koziol went 8-0 behind an 85-88 mph fastball and a plus changeup. At the plate, he hit .410 with 40 RBI.
Koziol made an immediate impact on varsity as a freshman, as he was the starting second baseman alongside his All-State brother, Kevin, who is the No. 1-ranked prospect in the Class of 2010. Ryan Koziol has a picturesque left-handed swing which produces line drives all over the field. He possesses excellent hands in the field and has a long, athletic frame. On the mound, he has a quick arm and a fastball that tops out at 84 mph as a sophomore.
