7.17.13 - Baird is a 5-foot-10, 155-pound two-way player. Showed some rhythm and athleticism throughout his delivery on the mound. Has loose arm action from a high ¾ slot. His fastball sat 80-81 mph, topping at 83 mph. His 12/6 curveball was at 62-65 mph with control. He also throws a 69-72 mph slider, and a 73-75 mph changeup with arm speed and slight sink. Baird ran a 7.25 60 at the event. Arm plays at 81 mph from the outfield and 77 mph across the infield. Offensively hits from an open, crouched setup using a short stride. He has a long bat path but maintains balance throughout his swing – recorded a 71 mph exit speed. 

10/7/12 - Baird is a 5-foot-10, 140-pound two-way player. Baird’s swing produced an exit speed of 80 mph off of the tee. Defensively, his fielding actions were mechanically sound, consistently fielding the baseball out in front of him. His arm showed some carry and accuracy at 77 mph across the diamond. On the mound he throws from a high ¾ arm slot showing some run on his 75-76 mph fastball. Baird’s curveball was thrown with good arm speed and registered at 57-59 mph. He showed the ability to throw his change up for strikes at 63-68 mph.
6/13/12 Baird is a 5-foot-9, 145-pound two-way player who impressed on the with his ability to throw three pitches for strikes. Baird throws from an over the top slot and features a 74-76 mph fastball with run and sink. His secondary pitches include a 62-63 mph curveball and a 69-71 mph changeup. Offensively, he had a balanced stance with a smooth load.
In the field and at the plate, Zach showed as a solid all-around player. While fielding, the 5-foot-7, 125-pound player displayed good actions and an accurate arm with some carry across the infield. At the plate, he exhibited a good setup and well balanced swing which translated into line drives. On the mound, Zach worked down in the zone with a fastball that topped at 71 mph and changeup which showed downward action.
