Schultz is a 6’, 200 lb. big bodied junior.  Behind the plate he is 2.08-2.1 with his pop times.  At the plate is where he excels most.  He displays an advanced approach with a slightly open stance and smooth load.  His stride is short and shows good balance throughout his swing.  His swing is short and quick producing good barrel whip.  He’s a line drive hitter with gap to gap power.   

The top-rated hitter at the event, Schultz is a physical, right-handed hitting catcher with legitimate power. The 6-foot, 180-pound Schultz demonstrated sound swing mechanics with impressive barrel whip and an explosive lower half. Behind the plate, Schultz showcased solid receiving skills, along with quick feet, transfer and strong arm.
