6/24/13: 6-foot-2, 180 pound righty repeats his delivery.  Throws from a high 3/4 slot with a quick arm action.  Throws downhill.  Fastball was up to 88 mph.  Possesses a plus breaking ball at 76-77 mph that shows good, late, sharp break. Also throws a slider at 77-78 mph .  One of the top right handed arms in the 2014 class. 

Breaking ball is a plus pitch at the HS level and sits 76-77. 

4/5/13 Game Notes: Johnson is a RHP that showed a good fastball that sat consistently 85-86 in his first couple of innings of work on March 30.  He uses a short arm action and throws from a high ¾ arm slot.  He pounded the zone with both his fastball and his 73-74 mph breaking ball, which showed late movement.  He’s a high follow in the 2014 class.  Expect a velocity increase as the year goes on.
