Open stance to start, uses a smooth leg lift to load, landing front foot slightly open. Lower half works through the swing, feet over rotate to finish. Barrel works up and out of the zone with lift extension. Pull side approach throughout both rounds of BP. Hit a couple balls with good backspin. Outfielder frame, broad shoulders, glides to the baseball. Short arm swing with high ¾ release, front side spin.
6/15/16: 6-foot-1, 170-pound thinner, athletic build, with room to fill. In the outfield he uses good footwork to approach the baseball. He fields the ball out near his front foot, glove side, continuing to play through the baseball to gain ground. He throws through an upper ¾ slot while reaching a top velocity of 76 mph. From the right-side of the plate he starts from a balanced stance and uses a toe-tap for a timing mechanism. He swings with a slightly upward bat path, finishing with a two-handed follow through. Shows strength in his swing along with the ability to use both sides of the field during his round of batting practice. He had a top exit velocity of 76 mph and ran a 7.64 60-yard dash.
