6/23/15 - The 6-foot-1, 160-pound right-handed pitcher was one of the bigger surprises at the ProCase. The  Evansville recruit has an up-tempo delivery with a long arm action from a high-3/4 slot. His fastball sat 89-90 with hard, late arm-side run. Ellis’ curveball looks to be an advanced offering, in the 74-76 range, with sharp down action. He also showed feel for his 74-76 mph changeup.

7/29/14: 6 foot, 160 pounds, Very projectable RHP, 85-88 mph fastball that he throws for strikes from a quick ¾ arm slot, slider is 72-75 and he isn’t afraid to throw it in any count. At SS he his dependable with average hands, a quick lower half and a clean ball transfer. He has a balanced stance, short stride, average bat speed, line drive type hitter.
