Greenwell blocks the ball well behind the plate and shows a quick release producing pop times in the 2.03-2.15 range. At the plate he hits from the left side. He's a spin hitter that has the tendency to drop his hands at times producing an uphill swing plane. When staying on top he shows good pop potential. Greenwell turns on the inside pitch well, driving the ball to the right side.
