2/22/14: 5-foot-10, 190 pound junior was 2.00-2.18 with his pop times at the event.  Showcased average arm strength at 72 mph.  Maintains a good line on his throws to second.  Showcased a quick release with good feet.  Offensively uses a balanced setup with a simple approach.  No stride.  Works uphill with plus bat speed showing good whip.  Showcased present power.  Barrels up a lot of baseballs. 

Top Prospect Games 6/24/2013 - Coy continues to show an accurate arm behind the plate putting a lot of throws on or near the bag. Coy uses a quick release to make up for foot work. Coy's swing continues to show improvement at the plate, displaying more power. Coy uses a no stride approach with an uphill plane. Gets to good extension. 

2/23/13: Coy is a strong bodied catcher at 5-foot-9, 180 pounds. He shows a quick release with average feet. Throws were around the bag. At the plate, Coy shows a narrow setup with no stride and spins on the backside causing the swing plane to be uphill. Shows power potential.
