Butler is a 6-foot-2 inch, 185 pound senior from Linton Stockton HS.   On the mound her shows a high stiff leg kick and works with a slow delivery. His fastball is 79-81. He also throws a slurve breaking ball that shows good rotation and breaks early. He throws a developing changeup at 75-77.  In the field Butler shows a strong arm across the diamond at 80 mph along with a good glove.

1/14/12 Butler is a physical 6-foot-2, 215-pound two-way player.  On the mound, Butler topped at 85 mph, sitting in the 83-84 range. He also threw a curveball with an 11/5 shape that ranged between 68-72 mph, and a changeup in the 76-79 mph range. Butler also showed some feel for a 72-75 mph splitter. Defensively, Butler played through the ball and showed some carry on his throws across the diamond (83 mph).  Offensively, Butler has an aggressive approach, flashing some pull-side power potential.  Additionally, he ran a 7.56 60.
