8/5/15 - Knight is a 5-foot-10 155-pound left-handed hitting outfielder and left-handed pitcher.  Knight ran a 7.41 60 with an 81 mph exit velo.  At the plate, starts in wide stance, early front foot, minimal movement pre-swing, quick hands, level path, gap-to-gap approach.  In the outfield, quick footwork, high-three quarters release, momentum towards target, quick crow hop, throws downhill, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Knight is a strike thrower and worked a quick inning during his outing. He has a high three-quarters release, works the bottom of the zone with his pitches and changes speeds effectively.  Fastball at 74-76 mph, hits spots, curveball 62-65 mph, 2-to-8 action, throws for strike.
1/4/14 - Quick-armed left-handed pitchers are worth their weight in gold and Knight definitely fits that criteria.  The athletic 5-foot-9, 150-pound lefty has a simple, repeatable delivery and threw a boatload of strikes with all three pitches.  His 77-79 mph fastball has late, controllable sink. He also showed a late breaking 72-74 slurve type breaking ball that has a chance to be a plus pitch.  Knight’s 69-72 change-up has late arm-side sinking movement likely to give right-handed hitters fits as it runs away from their bat as it approaches the plate.  Overall Knight was one of the more polished pitchers at the event.
1/4/14 - Knight is an athletic 5-foot-8, 150-pound left-hand hitting outfielder.  In the outfield he showed quick feet, soft hands and threw from a high ¾ slot with short, quick arm action.  He was the most accurate thrower from the outfield at the event and threw up to 81 mph.  At the plate, he has an athletic set-up with high hands and slightly open stance.  He has a minimal closed stride and no hand load; he’s short to the ball with some extension.  Knight has average balance and showed mostly a middle-of-the field to pull approach.  His top exit velocity was 81 mph.
10/19/13 - Knight is 5-foot-8, 150-pound athletic L-L outfielder.  Everything he does looks athletic and easy.  During batting practice Knight showed a very simple approach with a balanced set up, no load and no stride – consequently he has a very repeatable swing.  He has quick hands and good extension.  Very much a line drive approach to hitting his exit velocity was clocked at 77 mph.  He ran a 4.38 home to 1B.  The future top of the line-up college player already shows a knack for reaching base doing so 3 out of 6 times in the games (2 walks and a single).  In the outfield he showed good athleticism with quick feet and clean exchanges.  He threw with a ¾ slot short, simple arm action with some accuracy.  Knight’s throwing velocity was clocked at 73 mph.  Knight is a good baseball player now and profiles out well as an athletic L-L centerfielder, lead-off or 2-hole hitter at the next level.
