12/27/14 - Mitchell is a 5-foot-8, 150-pound right-hand hitting catcher. During hitting drill work showed a simple, compact line drive middle approach. Ran a 7.40 60-yard dash. During catching evaluations showed quick feet and an accurate arm, pop times in the 1.96 to 2.08 range with all throws on or near the bag. Mitchell was Kansas 5A State Champion STA’s starting catcher as a sophomore, so it’s also safe to say he can handle front line arms.
