2015 All-AVCTL-II - 1st Team
2014 KABC 5A All-State - 2nd Team

2/16/15 - Dinkel is a 6-foot, 170-pound class of 2016 catcher. Attends Eisenhower HS in Goddard, KS. Right-hand hitter with balanced set-up. Smooth hand load. Short, quiet stride. Hands work, fast bat, finishes with extension. Made hard and flat middle of the field to slight pull contact during batting practice, 89 mph exit velocity. Ran a 4.34 home-to-first. During defensive work showed quick, athletic footwork and exchanges. Loose three-quarters arm action, throws had carry, pop time 1.82, 76 mph throwing velocity, made one accurate throw after another. Top throwing catcher at the event, among a very talented group. Athletic catcher that has improved in all areas over the last year.
4/15/14 - Dinkel is a strong, athletic 6-foot, 170-pound catcher with an advanced catching skill-set.  He has quick, athletic actions behind the plate and receives the ball well getting his pitchers called strikes on pitches in and just out of the zone.  He has quick feet and a loose arm throwing to second base, throwing a runner out on a 2.08 pop time to second base.  He showed good energy behind the plate, communicating well with the pitcher and infielders.  Dinkel also keeps the game moving by getting the ball back to the pitcher quickly and dropping down signs with little delay making it easy for pitchers to get in a groove.  He also calls his own game, a rarity in high school baseball, and the results speak for themselves as Eisenhower’s pitching numbers are among the best in the state.  As good as good as Eisenhower’s two right-handers are (Senior Sam Hersh and Sophomore Braden Minor) the guy catching them is a key factor in their success.  At the plate, Dinkel showed bat speed collecting three hits on the day and also driving a ball into left-centerfield for a loud out.

1/4/14 - Dinkel is a strong 6-foot-1, 170-pound right-hand hitting catcher.  Behind the plate he showed advanced receiving skills while catching bullpens.  During the catcher throwing workouts he demonstrated quick footwork, clean exchanges and a loose ¾ throwing motion.  He was the top-throwing catcher at camp with a pop time of 2.06 with most of his throws on the bag or real close.  At the plate he starts with an open stance, strides inline and has a smooth backward load.  His swing path is short to the ball and he is very upper half dominant.  His exit velocity high was 85 mph.
