4/17/14 Following Green is starting to get boring, whether it be watching him hit the fence repeatedly taking batting practice, glancing at the multitudes of post-season honors last spring, scanning through his 2-for-3, 3-for-4 performances in box score after box score or watching him hit lasers in games – we get the point – the kid can hit.  On Thursday night, facing a tough left-handed pitcher in Olathe South senior Blaine Fisher, who has the stuff to punch out an average left-handed hitter in three pitches, it was no different.  After taking a called third strike in his first at bat Green worked Fisher for a 10-pitch walk in his second plate appearance, fouling off several good pitcher’s pitches and eventually winning the battle – he then stole second a few pitches later.  In his third at bat, it was standard Green, rocket to left center field for a double.  He also caught a four-pitcher combined no-hitter against a talented offensive ball club, including handling a starting pitcher throwing up to 96 mph.  Green is the top uncommitted senior in Kansas.
