11/4/17 - Kennedy is a lean 5-foot-10 150-pound right-handed catcher and outfielder in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He ran a 7.50 60 and a 4.51 home to first.  At the plate, starts slightly open, no wasted movement in load, quiet in line stride, hands manage the bat, loose whip with feel for barrel, gap to gap approach, body stays under control during swing.  Behind the plate, pop times 2.17 to 2.30-seconds, 72 mph positional velocity, thin and low stance, short and loose over the top arm slot,  clean transfer with fluid footwork, soft hands, accurate throws to the bag. In the outfield, 78 mph positional velocity,  quick catch and throw, arm works, over the top release, quick and short arm action, accurate throws, athletic footwork playing through the ball.

2/12/17 -Kennedy is a 5-foot-10 150-pound right-handed hitting shortstop and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He ran a 7.66 laser timed 60 and a 4.51 home to first.  He has a 78 mph exit velo.  At the plate, athletic stance, slight smooth load, loose hands, short stride, mostly middle of the cage line drives in batting evaluations.  On the infield, 73 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, works through the ball, fluid footwork with clean transfer, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Kennedy has a high number of strikes with three pitches, over the top arm slot, simple and repeatable delivery, arm works, slender frame suggesting increases as he continues to develop, fastball at 73-75 mph, some with late running action, breaking ball at 68-71 mph, 12-to-6 shape, change up thrown with fastball arm speed, 69-71 mph.

At the plate, balanced set up, minimal load, short stride, level path though hitting zone, mostly line drives to the middle of the field during batting practice, hand work inside ball.  On the infield, 68 mph positional velo, quick footwork to the ball, field ball in athletic position, ready to throw, plays through the catch with momentum to throw, clean transfer, mostly accurate throws. Kennedy is a 5-foot-9 150-pound right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2018 class.  Kennedy has an over the top release, throws with regular effort, slightly across his body, loose arm action, fastball at 71-74 mph, curveball has gradual 12-to-6 shape, 64-67 mph, change up has arm side sink, 65-68 mph, throws high percentage of strikes with fastball and change up, projectable build and arm action.
