6/2/15 - Jacob is a 6' 165-pound right hand hitting utility player from Lawrence Free State. Works good in the outfield, cleanly fielding each ball with good exchanges and quick throws at a max velo of 79 mph. He is a good runner and can cover some ground posting a 7.07 60/yd and is up the line with home to first of 4.47. Is balanced with a athletic and smooth load with a reverse toe tap and leg kick before a long stride at the plate, gets good extension and  finishes high with a 84 mph exit velo and a good eye earning two base on balls during the game.

4/25/15 - Uncommitted class of 2017 outfielder. Athletic 6-foot, 160-pound frame. Ran a 4.46 home-to-first, doubled off wall in left and deep flyout to left against Nixa. Single to center and up middle against Kickapoo.  Quick bat, middle-to-pull approach.
6/18/14 - Pavlyak is an athletic 6-foot, 160-pound right-hand hitting outfielder.  In the outfield he showed athletic actions and quick hands/feet.  He throws with quick, short arm action from a three-quarters slot.  His top throw was clocked at 79 mph.  At the plate he has a balanced set-up and wide, inline base.  He uses a leg kick and has a fluid hand load.  He has rhythm, an explosive lower half, maintains balance and finishes with extension.  Pavlyak’s exit velocity registered at 79 mph.  He ran a 4.47 home-to-1B from the right side.  He collected one hit during the games portion of the event.  Of note: Pavlyak is one of the few freshman to start for a Kansas 6A high school this past spring.
4/24/14 - The 6-foot, 160-pound Pavlyak is one of the very few freshmen starting for a 6A school in Kansas – and a very solid team with a 9-4 record, at that.  He has a thin, athletic frame with plenty of room (and time) to fill out physically.  At the plate he has a balanced set-up, uses a mini-leg kick and has loose hands that generate some bat speed.  The right-hand hitting Pavlyak also showed some pop,  juicing a ball into left-centerfield for a double in his second at bat on Thursday night.  Clearly a player to follow.
