8/6/14 - Michalski is a strong, athletic-framed 6-foot-1, 190-pound left-handed pitcher.  Deliberate delivery early.  Turns to crouch at balance, hides ball.  Strides slightly across body, athletic finish, excellent body control throughout, repeats.  Low three-quarters arm slot, easy arm.  Fastball has sinking action, can also firm it up glove side inside on right-hand hitters, 76-78 mph.  Breaking ball is sweeping slurve 62-64 mph.  Sells change-up well, fastball arm speed, sinking action, 67-68.  Very efficient, retired all eight batters he faced in the game in 20 pitches.  Attacks the zone with all three pitches, feel to pitch, keeps hitters off balance. 14/20 strikes.

8/6/14 - Michalski is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound left-hand hitting first baseman.  At the plate showed a tall set-up and narrow, inline stance.  Strides inline, short stride, minimal hand load, short bat path, lower half works, short finish, some bat speed, gap-to-gap approach.  83 exit velocity, 4.46 home to first base.  3-for-3 in the game.  At first base moved well, clean exchanges, low three-quarters throwing motion, all accurate throws, 78 mph throwing velocity.

7/6/14 - Michalski is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound lefty with feel to pitch.  He kept hitters off-balance with a 77-80 mph fastball with arm side run, sinking change-up and slurve type breaking ball.  He doesn’t light up the radar gun but he’s the lefty that gives good hitters fits.

5/13/14 - Michalski is a 6-foot, 185-pound left-handed pitcher/outfielder for Washburn Rural.  On the mound, he throws from a low three-quarter slow with an easy arm.  He has crouches at his balance point preparing to throw from the lower slot and does so with body control.  He keeps his shoulders level and strides inline before finishing square and upright.  His fastball was clocked in the 75-80 mph range with some run and cut to it.  He also showed a 66-67 mph sweeping breaking ball.  He is currently 3-0 with a save and 0.90 ERA in 23 innings pitched for the Junior Blues.
