2/17/14 - Heppler is an athletic 6-foot-1, 165-pound right-hand hitting outfielder. During the outfield defense evaluations he showed soft hands, fluid footwork and clean exchanges. His top throw in outfield work was clocked at 76 mph from a high ¾ slot. At the plate, he starts with a wide, open stance uses a simple, smooth hand load and strides inline. He has a level bat path, generates some bat speed and has a gap-to-gap approach. Heppler’s exit velocity high was 86 mph and he ran a 4.34 home to 1B from the right side.
