6/26/18 - Jackson has a solid frame at 6-foot-3, 190 pounds. He ran 4.37 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 80 mph. During batting practice, Jackson starts with a more narrow and open stance, toe tap into his load, quick hands, open stride. Defensively, Jackson showed a good glove, clean transfers, range to his glove side and back hand, positional velo of 79 mph, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Jackson works downhill, gets good drive from his backside, over the top arm slot, fastball is 80-84 mph, thrown for strikes, curveball is 67-71 mph, 12-to-6 shape, showed late bite at times, thrown for a high percentage of strikes, changeup is 63-66 mph.
1/13/18 - Jackson is a strong and lean 6-foot-3 190-pound right-handed hitting third baseman and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2019 class.  He ran a 4.32 home to first and has an 88 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts with open and thin set up, slight hip rotation with leg kick and hand load, aggressive swing, gag to gap pop, accelerated and fast bat speed, aggressive.  On the infield, 82 mph positional velocity, high three quarters release, fields ball in athletic position, gains ground after the catch, clean exchange.  On the mound, Jackson has a smooth delivery, accelerates down the mound, finishes in athletic position, over the top release, fastball at 78-81 mph, some with arm side run, change up at showed a 12-to-6 breaking ball, occasionally sharp, down in zone, 65-66 mph, change up has slight arm side release, 69-71 mph, near fastball arm speed, flashed a slider at 69 mph.  

6/20/17 - Jackson is a strong 6-foot-3 190-pound swatch-hitting shortstop and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2019 class.  He ran a 7.66 60 and a 4.82 home to first.  He has a 90 mph exit velo. At the plate, starts in open stance, in line stride, smooth load quick bat speed, occasional pull side power, contact was to the middle and pull side of the field during hitting evaluations, leverage in lower half, strong build, swing with intent.  On the infield, 82 mph positional velo, over the top release, momentum after catch, quick feet to the ball, clean exchange, accurate throws with carry to the base. On the mound, Jackson topped at 84 mph with fastball, worked 78-84 mph, strong bodied with arm strength, over the top release, controlled delivery, in line down the mound, breaking ball has 12-to-6 action, bottom of the zone, downward action, good pitch, change up at 69-70 mph, fastball arm speed, high number of strikes, did produce some swing and miss.
10/23/16 - Jackson is a 6-foot-3 185-pound switch hitting third baseman  and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2019 class.  He ran a 7.77 60 and a 4.65 home-to-first.  Has an 80 mph exit velo from both sides of the plate, one of the top LHH exit velos of the event.  At the plate, similar rhythm and timing from both sides, starts with open stance, in line toe touch, short stride, middle of the field approach, stays a bit more on top of ball from right side, middle to pull contact during batting practice.  On the infield, high three quarters arm slot, 76 mph positional velo, one of the top infield velos of the event, plays through the catch, aggressive to the ball, feet work with exchange, accurate throws. On the mound, Jackson collected three strike outs, allowed one hit with no walks during his outing on the mound, fastball topped at 80 mph, sat 75-78 mph, fastball has late life, slight 11-to-5 action on breaking ball, change up at 61 mph, short over the top arm action, shows ability to repeat release point with fastball and locate, smooth rhythm in delivery, in line as he works down the mound.
3/6/16- 6-foot-2, 170-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 4.37 home-to-first time. Double tap trigger with crouched stance. Long bat path to contact. Shows avg. pop in bat. Needs to improve use of lower half in swing and create leverage at contact. 74 mph exit velocity. High set-up behind plate. Avg. strength for age receiving pitches. Avg. mobility. Needs to improve on throwing footwork behind plate. Long release on throws. 2.38 pop time with 70 mph arm strength. Choppy rhythm in delivery. Upright finish and minimal extension to plate. One-piece arm action producing fastballs at 73-76 mph. Inconsistent curveball at 61-63 mph. Circle change with split-action at 65-68 mph.
