2015 All-Eastern Kansas League - Honorable Mention
8/6/14 - Valdivia is an athletic 5-foot-8, 160-pound right-hand hitting outfielder.  Has a tall set-up at the plate, inline stance, strides slightly closed, smooth hand load, level bat path, strong hands, maintains balance throughout.  Line drive, gap-to-gap approach with surprising power.  79 exit velocity, 4.33 home to first base from the right side.  Quick hands and feet in the outfield.  Long high three-quarters throwing motion, all accurate throws.  Very athletic player.
7/6/14 - Valdivia is a 5-foot-8, 160-pound athletic right-hand hitting outfielder.  Don’t be deceived by his listed height/weight – he is very strong and showed it in games.  During one stretch in the tournament he went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a home run and five RBI.  He’s a plus runner (6.60 60-yard dash at the JCCC showcase this past winter) and uses his speed well in the outfield and on the bases.
6/5/14 - Three class of 2015 outfielders also eclipsed the 6.70 60-yard dash mark in Michael Valdivia (’15 Bishop Miege), Luke Wilmes (’15 Blue Valley Southwest) and Tyler Barnes (’15 Blue Valley West).
5/5/14 - Valdivia is a 5-foot-7, 150-pound athletic, fleet-footed centerfielder for Bishop Miege that is currently uncommitted college-wise.  In the outfield, his speed and footwork stand out as he tracks fly balls and moves through ground balls.  His arm strength is average but he made quick exchanges and threw strikes to the cut-off men during pre-game infield.  Overall impact tools and skills as a defender in the outfield with the ability to steal doubles form opponent hitters.  At the plate the right-handed hitting Valvidia has an athletic, balanced set up.  He uses a short stride and smooth backward hand load.  He showed a line drive approach and generated some bat speed.  He maintains balance throughout his swing.  He ran a 4.16 home-to-1B time – nearly unheard of from the right side and definitely in the game-changing speed category.  He also showed some juice hammering a ball into left centerfield for an easy double.  Valdivia is leading Miege in hitting this spring with a .425 batting average, .540 on base percentage and six extra-base hits.
