8/13/17 - Currently ranked No. 31 in the Kansas Class of 2018. 6-foot-3, 190-pound right-handed hitting utility player. Showed the best all around arm strength at the event. Threw 88 mph from the outfield, 78 mph out of the crouch, and topped out at 85 mph on the mound. Defensively behind the plate has a short arm action from a high ¾ slot. Blocks pitches well. Popped 2.17-2.26. In the outfield showed off raw arm strength and actions. Accurate throws with carry, threw and event best 88 mph from the outfield. Offensively hits from a balanced setup with a short leg lift stride and good balance. Line drive hitter works gap to gap. Uphill swing path with fast hands and fluid rhythm. 83 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 8.12. On the mound works from a high ¾ arm angle with a short arm action. Works exclusively out of the stretch. Tall and fall delivery working in line with home plate. Fastball has running action at 81-84 topping out at 85 mph. Curveball has 11-5 shape at 68-70 mph. Slows arm on changeup at 71-73 mph.

6/14/16 - Strong is a 6-foot-2 174-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in Missouri’s 2018 class.  He ran a 7.74 60 and 4.85 home-to-first.  He has an 87 mph exit velo, one of the top RHH exit velos of the event. At the plate, balanced set up, smooth load, quick bat speed, accelerated swing, flashes of pull side power, mostly middle to pull line drives, consistent solid contact.  In the outfield, 84 mph positional velo, one of the top outfield velos on the day, short over the top arm action, arm works, fluid footwork, momentum through the catch, clean exchange, throws have carry and are mostly accuarate. On the infield, 78 mph positional velo, short and loose over the top arm action, made all plays cleanly, field ball in athletic position, fluid exchange and throw, accurate throws with carry.
5/31/16 - Strong is a 6-foot-2 174-pound right-handed hitting catcher in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He ran a 7.98 60 and a 4.84 home-to-first.  His exit velo was 87 mph, one of the top for the event.  At the plate, aggressive swing with pop to the pull side, hard solid contact during batting practice, loose hands, body under control, singled up the middle, hard line drive to center during game action.  Behind the plate, pop times of 2.01 to 2.13, one of the top pop times on the day, quick catch and throw with accurate throws at 75 mph, one of the top velos for the event, short jab step working with hands. On the mound, Strong was 79-82 mph with is fastball, one of the top velos for the event, slight run, throws downhill, locates well, breaking ball 70 mph, late 12-to-6 action, down in zone, change up at 68-72 mph, some arm side sink, projectable fram and loose arm action would suggest an increase in velo to go with command as he continues to develop.
11/1/15 - Strong is a 6-foot-2 155-pound right-handed hitting catcher in Kansas’ 2018 class.  Strong ran the 60 in 7.79-seconds and and a 4.70 home-to-first.  Balanced set up, no wasted movement in load, loose hands, pull approach, 83 mph exit velo, body controlled and balanced during swing, hit two singles in game action.  During catching evaluations, pop times between 2.15 and 2.27, 72 mph positional velo, one of top velos among catchers, quick glove to hand transfer, clean arm action, throws have carry to bag, short and quick footwork, over the top release, accurate throws to the bag. Shows improvement in many areas from last event. In the outfield, he had an 81 mph positional velo, one of the top for the event, throws downhill with loose arm action, clean exchange, quick release, momentum towards target, mostly accurate throws.
6/2/15 - Mikey is a 6'2 160-pound right hand hitting outfielder and catcher from St. James Academy.in the outfield moves to the ball well and uses good footwork to field that ball cleanly and mostly accurate throws to the bag, with a max velo of 80 mph. As a catcher has fluid movement behind the plate with pop times of 2.12 to 2.34 and a catcher positional velo of 68 mph.  Easy and balanced swing with good bat path and extension, a short stride gets him into a hitting position and took a good round of BP with a exit velo of 77 mph and a single and a base on ball during game action.
