8/6/14 - Elms is a thin, athletic 6-foot, 150-pound right-hand hitting outfielder and shortstop.  At the plate showed an athletic set-up, slightly open stance, inline stride, no hand load, level swing, balance throughout with extension through the baseball.  Slight pull approach.  78 exit velocity, 4.25 home to first base from the right side – one of the top marks in camp.  Collected one hit in the game and stole a base.  In the outfield showed quick, athletic actions, arm works, high three-quarters arm action, 79 throwing velocity.  In the infield has athletic actions, sure-handed, high three-quarters arm action, 77 throwing velocity, mostly accurate throws.  Very athletic player with plenty of room to fill out.
11/3/13 - Elms is a very athletic 6-foot, 145-pound infielder/outfielder.  At the plate, he has balanced set-up with an open stance.  He employs a very short stride (open stance, strides closed) approach and simple, quiet load making the delivery of the barrel easy for him.  Elms showed a level bat path and has overall fluid rhythm his swing.  His exit velocity was clocked at 77 mph.  In the outfield he showed quick feet, clean exchanges and worked through the ball well on his throws.  He has short arm action and it works free and easy with throws up to 79 mph.  In the infield he showed easy actions and throws.  His infield throwing velocity checked in at 77 mph.  Elms ran a 6.89 60-yard dash, one of the best times in the camp.  Due to his overall athleticism and skill set he’s on the path to being a solid college prospect but needs to add some strength and size over the next year.
10/19/13 - Elms has a thin, athletic 6-foot, 145-pound frame with room to fill out and is primarily an outfielder.  On the mound, Elms has a high ¾ delivery with short arm action and an average amount of effort. His fastball was 68-70 mph.
10/19/13 - Elms is an athletic 6-foot, 145-pound outfielder.  Hitting he showed good balance and rhythm.  The right-handed hitter has a long stride but kept his bat bath fairly level.  He has a line drive approach and registered a 76 mph exit velocity time.  In the outfield he showed fluid footwork and threw from a ¾ slot with accuracy.  His throwing velocity was 76 mph with a home to 1B time of 4.41.
