1/28/17 - Riggs is a 6-foot 175-pound right-handed hitting outfielder right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2019 class.  He ran a laser timed 7.50 60 and a 4.53 home to first.  He has an 86 mph exit velo. At the plate, tall and open stance, short inline stride, minimal load in hands, repeats swing, feel for the barrel, showed power to pull side and middle of the field, solid consistent contact during hitting evaluations.  In the outfield, 75 mph positional velo, over the top release, momentum after the catch, works behind ball, fluid transfer and throw, arm works, throws downhill, mostly accurate. On the mound, Riggs is long legged and projectable, repeats smooth delivery, over the top release, downhill plane, fastball at 74-77 mph, heavy, breaking ball is sharp and late, 11-to-5 action, 65-68 mph, looks to be good pitch as he continues to develop, change up at 70-71 mph, throws slightly across body and at the bottom of the zone.

11/1/15 - Riggs is a 5-foot-11 140-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2019 class. Riggs ran a 7.75 60 and a 4.65 home-to-first. At the plate, open stance with some hand movement to load, gap-to-gap approach, quick level path to extension, 77 mph exit velo.  In the outfield, 75 mph positional velo, high three-quarters release, plays though catch with fluid footwork, fluid glove-to-hand exchange, fluid release, loose arm action, somewhat accurate throws. On the mound, Riggs worked the corners with his fastball, throws for a strike, 73-75 mph, 11-to-5 action on breaking ball, 65-68 mph, change up at 71 mph, controlled leg lift, coil at balance point, high three-quarters release, throws slightly across body at times, throws with regular effort and smooth rhythm, loose arm action.
