Fall Prospect Program 2013 - The 6-foot, 190-pound Mason is a solid two-way prospect.  He showed good corner actions and 80 mph arm strength across the infield with a 7.41 60 time.  He has a strong frame, and he uses it to generate good bat speed through the zone (91 mph exit velocity off the tee).  During his 4 weeks of the program, Mason went 6-for-16 with a double and 3 RBI’s.  On the mound, he displayed a jump in velocity from the beginning of the program to the end.  The final week at UK, Mason’s fastball sat 83-84 and touched 85, and his 72-73 mph curveball showed late-breaking action.
